Why does my digital artwork print out darker than it appears in Photoshop?

I’ve just spent an entire week designing this poster (which is made up of a collage of images). Anyway, it looks great on the screen but when I print it, the colors are all darker!!?? It really ruins the image. I am supposed to be getting this printed A3 size tomorrow at a printing company. Is it just my printer and will it print out the way It looks on screen tomorrow? Or, should I have just compensated for the brightness of the screen which makes the image look brighter when in photoshop? Thanks
