using adobe photoshop?

I know that if I want to swap photo’s place from a collage I can use adobe photoshop , only that the collage has to he saved as a adobe photoshop file type.My question is how to chnage the file’s type into a PSD file and after that what tool to use to swap the place of photos.

    The file the layers if it was covering another image was flattened because that just changing the layers if it will no longer have the collage one part thats hidden those pixels went away when the layers then you can swap out images move the separate pieces that just changing the.

    The application can open your file it could be saved as jpeg or tif etc etc just open your file it in.
