how do I open two document windows in photoshop?

i’m trying to do a collage with different pictures but I cant seen to open up another document window to drag the previous image into.
these answers are not helping.I have an image in the document window.Now I would like to open up another one without the one i have open dissapearing.remember im new to photoshop.I want to see both images at the same time in two separate windows

    file new

    then go back to the first doc

    and select all

    copy

    go to 2nd and PASTE

    actually its open first file then go to file ‘Open” . new will only bring up a new blank page

    edit: only thing you can do is view the same doc 2xs at once and that is the original and the edited version…besides that there is no view 2 at once

    whats wrong with going from one to the other, is there a real need to see both…

    The scanner and scan then can open as many as you needwhat do alot of several.
