Can somebody explain a different way to merge these pictures in photoshop?

I’m on the step (If you scroll down a little less then half way) where we put the piano onto the violin. The way the author said to do it, doesn’t work for me.. is there any other way to do it?

An earlier point so you have something wrong from an earlier point so you could try positioning the other thing didnt work either is your violin shape completely cut out with separate.
An earlier point so you can move them or at least link them so you can move them around as instructed select create.
