Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 ! Please help?

OK…
So I’m trying to make a photo collage.I go through all the steps and hit “DONE”. All my pictures are in frames but…
I can see the background through the pictures and the background is in like these blocks and it’s transparent.Now the frames aren’t completely transparent.There are these blocks in the frames that are transparent so it completely distorts the pictures in the frames.
I’m getting frustrated and I don’t know what to do. How do I get the background to not be “blocky” and transparent?And how do I fix the problem with the frames??
I’ll put a link to a picture so you can see what I’m talking about.Even though it might look different after it’s saved,you’ll still kinda see what I’m talking about…
